2022 FIFA World Cup: Prior to their FIFA World Cup match against Tunisia, France suffered an injury blow, and their superstar was seen struggling with ankle pain.RMC Sport reports that Kylian Mbappe is struggling with an ankle issue.

With the intention of defending its FIFA World Cup title, France made their way to Qatar earlier this month. They have won both of their group matches, so far, and everything has gone according to plan for them.

The defending champions have already secured a spot in the Round of 16 thanks to their six points. When they play Tunisia on Wednesday (30 November), they will attempt to extend their tournament-winning streak to three games.

In order to keep his key players fresh for the knockout stage, Didier Deschamps is likely to rest some of them. However, it was anticipated that Mbappe would remain in the starting lineup.

With three goals, the superstar player for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is tied for the most goals scored at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Additionally, he is only six goals shy of Just Fontaine’s national tournament record.

Mbappe is said to be eager to start against Tunisia, determined to set records and win awards. However, prior to the match, he has been experiencing ankle pain.

On Tuesday (29 November), the 23-year-old even had his ankle strapped during training. The aforementioned source claims that Deschamps has thought about resting him against Tunisia.

Mbappe may or may not start for France, but it is unlikely that he will play all 90 minutes. It is likely that Randal Kolo Muani will get his first senior start for Les Bleus if he is rested.

According to L’Equipe, France will likely make a lot of changes against Tunisia in the FIFA World Cup. Deschamps could make up to nine changes to the team that beat Denmark 2-1 over the weekend. Hugo Lloris is expected to start in place of veteran goalkeeper Steve Mandana against Tunisia.

Eduardo Camavinga, a Real Madrid midfielder, is expected to start as left-back, with Theo Hernandez being rested. Jules Kounde could be replaced in the starting lineup by Benjamin Pavard.

Kingsley Coman and Marcus Thuram are expected to lead the France team, with Ousmane Dembele and Olivier Giroud moving to the bench. Another candidate to start against Tunisia in their final FIFA World Cup group match is Youssouf Fofana.

Matteo Guendouzi, it has been suggested, might take Adrien Rabiot’s place in midfield. Axel Disasi, William Saliba, and Jordan Veretout are other players who could play a role for the team today.
