On Saturday, December 10, 2022, Team India played their final One-Day International, defeating Bangladesh by a huge margin of 227 runs in the third game in Chattogram.
Notwithstanding the success, India neglected to dominate the three-game series as Bangladesh sacked the initial two ODIs in Dhaka and secured the elastic by a 2-1 edge.

It marked the end of what had been a typical ODI season for India. Since the T20 World Cup was held in 2022, the full-member nations did not play a lot of one-day internationals.

We will examine India’s three greatest wins in 2022 ODIs in this article.

#3 First One-Day International against the West Indies in Port of Spain (July)

In a last-ball thriller, India won the first of three ODI matches against the West Indies. The game, which the team led by Shikhar Dhawan won by three runs at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad, was full of entertainment.

India got off to a flying start when Dhawan (97) and Shubman Gill (64) batted first. They dominated the bowlers from the Caribbean and put the visitors in a strong position to score a huge total.

Before India lost six wickets in 86 runs due to a batting collapse, Shreyas Iyer (54) also contributed with a half-century. West Indian bowlers did well to hold India to 308 after a slow start.

With the exception of Shai Hope (who scored seven runs) and Rovman Powell (who hit zero), the Windies batters responded with a strong performance. The most impressive player was Kyle Mayers, who shot an impactful 75 off a 68.

#2 Third ODI vs. Bangladesh in Chattogram (December)

The most recent addition to the list is the third ODI between India and Bangladesh, which took place on December 10 and saw the visitors defeat the Bangla Tigers by a massive 227 runs at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

The hosts lost Shikhar Dhawan early on in the innings after Bangladesh skipper Litton Das asked India to bat first. After the five overs, India was 17/1. Ishan Kishan’s absolute dominance, which began with his aggressive demeanor, followed.

In the middle overs, he unnerved the Bangladeshi spinners with his lofty strokes and exquisitely picked gaps inside the power play.

The southpaw, who played in place of the injured Rohit Sharma, scored a record 131-ball 210 runs, including 24 fours and ten fiery maximums. He collaborated with Virat Kohli to score 290 runs, including his own remarkable century.

The visitors scored a staggering 409/8 in their 50 overs thanks to the outstanding batting efforts of Kishan and Kohli.

Bangladesh’s response was to be bowled out for just 182 in 34 overs, and their innings never got going. Shakib Al Hasan led them in runs scored with 43 from 50 balls.
Team India won their most-ever ODI match against a full-member nation by 227 runs thanks to their incredible performance.

#1 The third and final one-day international between India and England took place at Old Trafford in Manchester in July

The match was only remembered for Rishabh Pant’s heroics. In the series decider, the Men in Blue defeated the hosts by five wickets to win the rubber by a score of 2-1.

Rohit Sharma asked England to bat first after winning the toss. By selecting Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root in his very first over of the second innings, Mohammed Siraj gave India a great start.

Before Hardik Pandya (four for 24) brought the visitors back into the game with two quick scalps, Jos Buttler (60) and Moeen Ali (34) stabilized England. England has limited to a manageable total of 259 in the first innings thanks to Pandya’s effective bowling.

The Men in Blue were having trouble chasing 260 after cheaply losing their top four. Reece Topley excelled with the ball, defeating India’s well-known top three.

Pandya and Gasp then, at that point, met up to build a game-dominating organization of 133 runs. With the series on the line, Pant stood up for the visitors like a warrior and scored his first ODI run-out.
On the other hand, Pandya kept the scoreboard going by scoring his eighth fifty in an ODI in just 43 balls.

India recorded a historic victory thanks to Pant’s six boundaries in the final seven balls as they successfully reduced the total.
