Three times, Ravindra Jadeja made a remarkable return to international cricket. Earlier today, in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against Australia, Ravindra Jadeja made his long-awaited return to international cricket. Jadeja took five wickets in the first Test at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium to help India defeat the Australians by 177 runs.

During the Asia Cup 2022 in the United Arab Emirates, Jadeja was participating in an adventure activity when he hurt his ankle.

He was absent from India’s home series in 2023 against Sri Lanka and New Zealand as well as the remaining matches in 2022. Jadeja was selected for the Test team for the series against Australia after demonstrating his fitness in the Ranji Trophy for Saurashtra.

Since returning to international cricket, the all-rounder has made an immediate impact. It should be noted by fans that Ravindra Jadeja has previously performed admirably after being dropped or injured.

The three previous instances in which Jadeja made a remarkable comeback are listed below.

#1 All-round brilliance of Ravindra Jadeja against England in 2011

Ravindra Jadeja made his first ODI debut in 2009. Before the 2011 World Cup, he played 35 one-day internationals for India but was not selected for the team. In the later part of 2011, Jadeja made his return to the ODI squad during the away series against England.

He was included in the starting lineup for the third One-Day International, and the all-rounder changed the game by scoring 78 runs. In that match, India was down to 58/5, but MS Dhoni and Jadeja’s half-centuries helped the team finish 234/7 after 50 overs.

In the second innings, Jadeja also bowled an impressive 2/42, but England won the match by three wickets using the D/L strategy.

After a break of more than a year, Ravindra Jadeja returns to Test cricket. In 2012, he played the first Test match of his career. He had represented India in 12 Test matches by 2014 After an uneventful 2014 series against England, he was dropped from the starting lineup. For the first two Tests of the subsequent series against Australia, India did not select him to play.

In 2015, Jadeja did not play in the Test matches against Bangladesh or Sri Lanka. He returned to the team in 2015 for the home series against South Africa, taking eight wickets in the first Test. India prevailed by 108 runs thanks to his superb bowling.

Jadeja’s best performance of his career was when he returned to Test cricket in 2022 After suffering a knee injury in late 2021, Jadeja was unable to play in the second Test of the series against New Zealand. Due to the injury, he also missed the away series against South Africa.

In the 2022 Test against Sri Lanka at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium, the all-rounder made a comeback to the Indian team’s starting lineup. He scored 175 runs, the best innings of his career, in India’s 222-run victory.
