The Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma was born in Amritsar, Punjab, India, on 4 September 2000. He is currently playing for Punjab in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. He also made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 25 February 2017.
He played his first-class match for Punjab in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 6 October 2017. In December 2017, he was selected for India’s squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand. In January 2018, Delhi Daredevils bought him for Rs 5.5 million in the 2018 IPL auction.
