The Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL)’s inaugural season is likely to take place from March 3 to March 26. IPL 2023, the men’s version, is scheduled to begin on April 1. The dates have not yet been officially confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Since the Indian cricket board announced that the tournament would be held in 2023, both players and fans have been very excited about the WIPL.

The media-rights tender for the Women’s IPL seasons from 2023 to 2027 was announced by the BCCI on Friday, December 9 as part of the process of organization. The tender must be picked up by December 31 as of now.
The inaugural WIPL will feature 22 matches played by five franchises, according to reports. There is a maximum of 18 players on a squad, which can include up to six international players. Five unfamiliar players can highlight in a playing XI during a WIPL game, given four are from Full Part nations and one is from a Partner country.
Before finalizing the dates for the Men’s IPL, the BCCI is said to be looking into the availability of international cricketers. After the schedule had to be changed in the last couple of seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the T20 league will play in a home-and-away format.
