All the way from Virat Kohli to Yuvraj Singh, here are the three best innings by Indian batters in T20Is against Australia. Before India goes to Australia for the T20 World Cup in October, they will play a three-match T20I series against Australia at home. This will be the perfect way to get ready for next month’s big event. The first game of the series is on September 20 at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali.

The head-to-head record shows that India has won more T20I games against Australia than Australia has won against India. Many Indian batters have had great innings in these games, which has helped the “Men in Blue” win.

Here are the three best innings that Indian batters played against Australia in the shortest version of the game.

    #3 Virat Kohli

    Runs – 61*

    Venue – Sydney

    Year – 2018

India was behind 1-0 in the T20I series going into the third game. They had to win the game to tie the series. After putting Australia in at Sydney, they held them to 164/6 in 20 overs, which is still the highest score in T20Is without a single six.

In their reply, India got off to a great start by putting together 67 runs for the first wicket. Then, however, they quickly lost both of their openers. In fact, the team lost four wickets for 108 runs, which made things look pretty bad. But captain Virat Kohli played an outstanding innings, scoring 61 runs with four fours and two sixes in 41 balls. In fact, he stayed until the end to hit the runs that won the game for India and tied the series at 1-1. He and Dinesh Karthik worked together to score 60 runs that won the game.

    #2 Yuvraj Singh

    Runs – 70

    Venue – Durban

    Year – 2007

In 2007, India was on a historic run at the first-ever T20 World Cup, and Yuvraj Singh was the star of the show. In the semi-final, Australia, which had won the 50-over World Cup the year before, was playing India. Yuvraj Singh had just come into the game after his historic 50 against England, in which he hit six sixes in one over of Stuart Broad.

Yuvraj kept up his outstanding play in the important semi-final as well. He hit a 70-run innings with five fours and five sixes in 30 balls. He even batted with MS Dhoni for 81 runs, which helped India get a good score of 188. Indeed, in the end, the Men in Blue won by 15 runs, and Yuvraj was named the Man of the Match.

    #1 Virat Kohli

    Runs – 82*

    Venue – Mohali

    Year – 2016

Virat Kohli’s name appears twice on this list, which was bound to happen since the ex-captain has a huge 718 runs against the Aussies in T20Is, making him the batter with the most runs against any team in the shortest version of the game.

At the 2016 T20 World Cup in Mohali, he had his best knock against Australia. India was in trouble at 3/49 in the Super 10 game, where they had to get 161 to win. But Virat Kohli came to the team’s aid. At the beginning of his turn, he took his time and stayed at the crease. It took him 39 balls to get to 50.

But then he changed things up. He beat James Faulkner for 19 runs in one over, and then Nathan Coulter-Nile hit four fours in one over to get India over the finish line. In 51 balls, he hit 9 fours and 2 sixes, which helped him score 82 runs. This innings was later chosen as the best moment in the history of the T20 World Cup.
