Steve Smith, a former captain of Australia, made fun of India regarding the tour games and the BCCI-provided pitches. R Ashwin, a veteran spinner, has provided an appropriate response to Smith’s comment.

Prior to the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Test series, which begins on February 9 in Nagpur. Australia chose not to hold practice matches.

Instead, in preparation for the contest, Australia held a four-day training camp at the KSCA Stadium in Alur under altered conditions.

However, Steve Smith, a former captain of Australia, made fun of India regarding the tour games and the BCCI-provided pitches. R Ashwin, a veteran spinner, has provided an appropriate response to Smith’s comment.

When Smith was asked why Australia didn’t play a tour game. The star batter said that the team would be better off training on their own than playing on “irrelevant” pitches.

He also mentioned the 2017 tour, when the visitors got a green top. Which was different from what happened in the first Test.

“The last time we went to India, I think we were given a green top to practice on. Which was kind of pointless.

Smith stated, “We can get our practice in if we get really good training facilities where the ball is likely to do what it is likely to do out in the middle.”

Having our own nets, bringing in spinners, and bowling as much as they can is better for us.
In response to Smith’s assertion, Ashwin acknowledged that Australia received a rank-turner in the Pune Test.

The first match of the previous series, but referred to the Australian’s assertion as pure “mind games,” adding that nothing is planned.

“At this time, Australia is not participating in any tour matches. This is not uncommon. When India goes on a few overseas tours.

They even avoid playing tour games. It is impossible for Team India to show up for practice games at the same level of intensity because their schedule is jam-packed with international competitions.

    What a reply from Ashwin!#Ashwin #TeamIndia #INDvAUS #BorderGavaskarTrophyhttps://t.co/pnPEpEyoFi

“Smith stated, “We got a green wicket in Brabourne and an entirely opposite one in the first Test (during the 2017 series).” To be fair, it was a major success in Pune.

They may have received a green track from us, but nobody anticipates everything. But before a series, Australia is known for mind games and sledges. They enjoy doing that. Ashwin stated, “It’s their style of cricket.”

In the meantime, Australia brought in a copy of Ashwin in an effort to better prepare for the Test series. Because of his striking resemblance to Ashwin in terms of his bowling technique. Baroda bowler Maheesh Pithiya was invited to Australia’s training session.
