Following a loss in the Super Over in the second T20I, Ellyse Perry’s back-to-back half-centuries in the next two matches enabled Australia successfully defend their totals in what has been a high-scoring series so far.

Brabourne Stadium pitch report 5th T20
During the previous two T20Is of the series, the red soil pitch at the Brabourne Stadium proved to be a bowlers’ nightmare. On Tuesday, the fifth T20I will be no different.
Ashleigh Gardner, the “Player of the Match” in the most recent Twenty20 International, said that the Brabourne pitch was great for batsmen. She also admitted that the pitch of the spinners did not have a turn, so she had to change the lengths frequently.
“It was a good pitch on which to bat.” After being named the “Player of the Match,” Gardner remarked, “Sometimes it is difficult to be bowler, so it helps to be an all-rounder.” Every pitch we have played on has been fantastic.
In addition, stand-in Australian skipper Tahlia McGrath stated that, despite initially providing the quicks with some assistance from the new ball, it was a “good cricket wicket” to bat on.
McGrath commented on the Brabourne Stadium pitch following the conclusion of the fourth Twenty20 International, “New wicket and played reasonably similar, little bit early on for the quicks, but really good cricket wicket.”
