    Cricket bat guide – all you need to know. Without a Cricket bat, there is no game of Cricket. Different bats give different approaches to Cricket and different impacts on hitting. Moreover, the International Cricket Council has set up rules for Cricket equipment. When choosing the bat, you need to consider the height and bat length that will help comfortable batting. 

    Apart from these, there are several cricket bet sizes and grades that make bats different. Every company has its own Collection of bats and ways to make keeping in mind the ICC rules. Many domestic, national, and international cricket players alter their bat design and size according to their comfort.

    These are some common bat sizes and their respective specifications used. However, for players at the international and national levels, the sizes are altered according to their comfort. While alterations and modifications, the ICC size guidelines are kept in mind. 

    Bat Grade and appearance 

    Each grade of wood have a different feel and impact such as 

    Grade 1: Grade 1 is the top grade that you will find to play. The Bats with Grade 1 has the best blade, redwood on the blade, and at least 6 straight grains appear on the face. It can also have a knot or speck on the back of the cricket bet or edge. 

    Grade 2: Great quality of wood used in Grade 2, they might have more redwood on the blade. However, that doesn’t change the playability of the bat. Similar to Grade 1, old blemishes are soon on the face. 

    Grade 3: Grade 3 offers the best value for money and is a highly used Grade. The Grade has half redwood and 5 grains on the face. There are also chances of specs or butterflies on the face. 

    Grade 4: half of the blade has a discolored area and has 4 grains and butterfly stains on the face. 

    Grade 5: Same as Grade 4, but with more stains. This Grade of wood is not good commercially.
