    The biggest cricket league in the world, IPL is going to start from today. The first match will be played between last year’s champions Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium from 7:30 pm. Check CSK vs KKR Pitch Report, Stadium Capacity, Weather Reports.

    A big change has happened in the Chennai camp just two days before the match. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has been captaining the team for 14 years, will no longer be the captain. Dhoni has handed over the captaincy to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in his place.
    This will be the first time after 26 April 2019 that the Chennai team will take the field without Dhoni’s captaincy. In the two matches of the 2019 season, Dhoni was not fit, so Suresh Raina captained.

    KKR to play under Iyer’s captaincy

    Kolkata will take the field with their new captain. Shreyas Iyer will lead the KKR.

    Last season the team was led by Eoin Morgan of England, but he was not joined by any team in the auction this year. Iyer has been the captain of Delhi and has also led Delhi to the finals of 2020.

    There always have some extra for fast bowlers in Wankhede. The pitch assists the pace and bounce. Where the small size of the ground and even pace gives an advantage to batters as well. We can’t forget whole IPL is going to play in only 4 venues so there will be a good batting track in the initial period of the tournament.
