Just a few hours before the Sydney Thunder’s game against the Sixers on Friday, January 12, David Warner will arrive at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) via helicopter, making a chic comeback to the Big Bash League (BBL).
In order to make it to the Sydney Derby, the Thunder batter will leave early from his brother’s afternoon wedding in the Hunter Valley. He will depart from the ceremony, fly to Cessnock Airport, and then take a 45-minute helicopter trip to land at the SCG, according to local media.
Sean Abbott, his derby opponent, made light of Warner’s “a bit Hollywood” remarks.
