Yashasvi Jaiswal’s, the team’s opening batsman, made his Test debut unforgettable by smashing.
A century on Day 2 of the opening Test against the West Indies in Dominica on Thursday.
However, a video of him criticising a West Indian player while speaking with Virat Kohli is doing the rounds on social media.
Day 2 of the Dominica Test was won by India, who finished at 312/2. They began the day with 80/2 in response to the 150 run total set by the West Indies in the first inning.
Unbeaten at 40 overnight, Jaiswal went on to score his first Test century with a single from Alick Athanaze to fine leg. The captain, Rohit Sharma, added his tenth Test century at the other end.
Jaiswal was still on 143 at stumps while Rohit was removed shortly after reaching three figures. Jaiswal was heard cursing at Kohli towards the close of the day’s play while criticising a West Indian player.

Speaking after recording a century in his first Test, Yashasvi Jaiswal called the experience emotional.

I want to thank everyone, the supporters, the team management, and Rohit Bhai. It’s hard to receive opportunities in the Indian squad, he said to Jio Cinema.
He stated that the pitch is on the slower side, which makes it difficult to bat on Dominica’s surface.
I wanted to keep playing for my nation, simply play ball-by-ball and enjoy my cricket despite the outfield’s sluggish pace, challenges, and moderate heat.
