“Doesn’t mean that we’ve gone backwards”: Ben Stokes says players have matured despite losing the IND vs ENG Test series.

Ben Stokes says players have matured despite losing the IND vs ENG

Ben Stokes is an English international cricketer who captains the England Test team and also plays for England in One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals.

In domestic cricket, he represents Durham and has competed in several Twenty20 competitions throughout the world.

Despite the series loss, England captain Ben Stokes believes the team has enough of positives to take away from their current tour of India.

The 32-year-old emphasized that every player has been completely dedicated and that they have not regressed.

Stokes’ team established an early lead in the series, winning the first Test at Hyderabad by 28 runs. However, the tourists went on to lose the last three Tests, thereby ending the series.

Ben Stokes says players have matured despite losing the IND vs ENG.

Stokes stated on Tuesday, ahead of the fifth Test in Dharamsala, that the trip had seen a handful of players develop. As cited by BBC Sport, he stated.

Shoaib Bashir and Tom Hartley have done honor to their picks. Hartley grabbed seven wickets in the fourth innings in Hyderabad.

Bashir, on the other hand, scored a fifer in the first innings of the Ranchi encounter and eight overall.

“He deserves everything that gets spoken about him” – Ben Stokes on Jonny Bairstow

Stokes commented on Jonny Bairstow ahead of his 100th Test for England, stating that the wicketkeeper-batsman had invited his entire family to witness the game.

Bairstow will become England’s 17th player to reach 100 Test appearances. If the visitors are to prevent India from winning in Dharamsala, they will need to put up an outstanding display.
