Du Preez made her South African debut as a 17-year-old in January 2007 and played in her first Twenty20 International seven months later. In November 2014, she also played in South Africa’s lone Test match, scoring 102 in a game that India won. She scored 3760 runs at an average of 32.98 in 154 ODI matches, including two hundreds and 18 half-centuries.

Du Preez made 114 T20I appearances for South Africa, scoring 1805 runs with seven half-centuries at an average of 20.98 and a strike rate of 101.23. Since being given the responsibility in 2011, she has captained South Africa in 50 Twenty20 Internationals and participated in seven Twenty20 World Cups. In 2016, she served as captain for the T20 World Cup.

It’s never an easy decision to step away from something you love as much as I love cricket. However, until I am blessed with the opportunity to become a mother and start my own family, I will continue to play the game in the shorter format in global leagues. In a statement, Du Preez said, Now for all the thanks.

Du Preez thanked her friends, family, coaches, and the cricket boards with which she has been involved.

She also mentioned her teammates: I would like to express my gratitude to my teammates for the numerous memories that we shared. It was a privilege to share the changing room and field with you all. I will miss you all very much, but I can’t wait to follow your paths to success and, in the future, I will definitely support you from the sidelines.

Iwill miss the change room visits, the off-field companionships from one side of the planet to the other, voyaging and finding out about various societies. Nevertheless, I am extremely excited about the upcoming phase of my life, which I will share with the people I adore but have neglected over the past 15 years of my career.

Enoch Nkwe, Director of Cricket for Cricket South Africa, added: As we say goodbye to one of the game’s most beloved characters on the international stage, this is a bittersweet time for South African cricket and the world as a whole.

Throughout recent years, du Preez’s impressive skill .

And responsibility displayed towards her nation has been commendable, not exclusively to the people who emulate her example yet in addition to her partners and friends in the game.

Her career, which included a total of 268 international matches, 5565 runs, 25 fifties, and three hundreds in Test, ODI, and T20 cricket, as well as 96 matches as captain, is something to be extremely proud of and has established her position as one of the country’s greatest cricketers.

Iwould like to express my sincere gratitude to Mignon for her nearly two decades of service to her country and the game of international cricket on behalf of the CSA and the wider cricketing community. Her dedicated, energetic group first character will be profoundly missed, and I hope everything works out for her with the remainder of her profession and life after the game Nkwe said.
