    England Vs South Africa – Test Series: England is set to host its opponent, South Africa in a three-match Test series. The test series is starting on the 17th of August 2022.

    Lord’s stadium, Emirates Old Trafford, and Kennington Oval will host the three matches in the given order.

    Veteran bowler James Anderson seems unstoppable at the age of 40. He is leading England’s bowling attack.

    The right-arm seamer is in full form to scale heights in Test cricket.

    James Anderson has registered himself as the most successful fast bowler in the history of Test cricket.

    Earlier this year, he reached the title of the first-ever fast bowler to complete 650 Test wickets.

    He stands at the third-highest wicket-taker position in the format. He is right behind Muthiah Muralidaran (800) and Shane Warne (708).

    Anderson’s performance was magnificent in the match against New Zealand. He is in full form to replicate the performance against the Proteas.

    Anderson has a record of bagging 657 wickets in Test cricket. In a career spreading over two decades, Anderson has taken 657 wickets from 172 Tests with a remarkable average of 26.36. The record includes 32 five-wicket hauls. The last of these hauls came against India in the one-off Test in Birmingham (5/60).

    Anderson is bestowed with the title of second-most wickets in Test cricket after turning 30. He has a total number of 389 wickets at 23.60. He is right behind former Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath in this ranking. The latter took 398 wickets in this regard.

    In the upcoming series against South Africa, Anderson can break the record. He can be the first-ever bowler with over 400 Test wickets after turning 30.

    Anderson could touch the 100-wicket mark against South Africa. He played his maiden Test match against South Africa in the year 2003.

    He took 93 wickets with an average of 31.52 against the Proteas.

    Anderson is the third-highest wicket-taker against South Africa in the Test format of cricket.

    He is only behind Warne with 130 wickets and Muralidaran with 104 wickets on the list.

    In the impending series, Anderson has the chance to become the first-ever pace to touch the 100-wicket mark against the Proteas (Tests).

    Anderson is about to play his 100th Test at home. As of now, he owns 419 wickets gained from 98 Tests at home. All this is achieved at an incredible average of 23.96. Anderson is the pacer who has taken most wickets in home Tests.
