England’s Jofra Archer is “fully back” after a long injury layoff. He is expected to play in the new Twenty20 league in South Africa in January for Mumbai Indians’ Cape Town franchise.
Jofra Chioke Archer is a Barbadian-born English cricketer who was born on April 1, 1995, and plays for Sussex and England. He bowls fast with his right arm.

After bowling for the Lions in a three-day match against the test team in the United Arab Emirates, fast bowler Jofra Archer declared that he was “fully back” from his lengthy injury layoff.

Due to a stress fracture in his back, Archer was ruled out for the season in May. He had not played international cricket since March of last year. Prior to that, he had to undergo a second round of surgery in December 2021 due to an elbow injury that kept him out of action.

On Wednesday, the first day of the match, Archer bowled nine overs and was 39 not out at the end of the second day of play.
After a hiatus of almost one and a half years, Jofra Archer resumed playing cricket. The fast bowler also participated in a three-day intra-team game prior to England’s Test series against Pakistan.

England pacer Jofra Bowman felt thrilled to return to cricket after a long injury delay. Since his elbow surgery in 2021, Archer has been plagued by injuries and has not played cricket since the 2019 World Cup. The fast bowler took some time to get the elbow surgery right, and he skippered two Indian Premier League games.

On Thursday, the 27-year-old revealed to reporters, “Yesterday was a really, really big day.“A brief but nonetheless significant day.

Archer stated that getting back into the test team was his objective, but he would not rush things. Naturally, my top priority is returning to the first team, but also returning there safely,” he added.
I would love to participate in every game, but I doubt the physiotherapist would allow it. Our squad is sufficient that I can play all arrangements throughout the entire year.

Archer is not on the team for the three-match Pakistan tour that starts next week. However, he wants to be in the team for the Ashes series next year, which will be played on home soil in June.

Archer stated I’m more than ready to do some additional bowling and stuff in and around some other cricket, just to put my name in the hat(in that series).

Following his selection as a wild card pick on Wednesday, Archer is anticipated to play in the new South African Twenty20 league for Mumbai Indians’ Cape Town franchise in January.
