Excellent Response from Suryakumar Yadav to Murali Kartik’s “1-0 Down” Query

Excellent Response from Suryakumar Yadav to Murali Kartik’s “1-0 Down” Query: The second T20I between India and Australia was delayed because of wet spots on the ground. Still, before that, India’s best batter, Suryakumar Yadav, kept the excitement of the game going with his funny and exciting answers at the pre-match press conference.

Before the game, Murali Kartik asked Yadav, “You are up against the World Champions, you are 1-0 down. What’s the story?” Yadav replied right away, “1-1 tonight?”

Kartik seemed pleased with his answer, so he told him, “Good stuff, that’s the spirit, go well tonight.”

The story of India’s T20I against the Aussies

Even though India scored 208 runs in the first T20I against Australia, they lost. But India tied the series by winning the second game, which started after the umpire checked the field.

But before the game, SKY talked about how he bats and said that he likes to bat in the fourth spot. “It has been an amazing journey. Wonderful ride till now and am working hard for everything. I have enjoyed batting everywhere but number four is perfect for me. It helps me control the game. I enjoy batting when the pressure is high, I like to bat at 4,” he said.

    Shot selection

When talking about shot selection, the hard-hitting Indian batter also spoke about how the game is played in Australia. He said, “Most important challenge in Australia would be for us to be smart with our shot selection. Everything else remains the same,” he said when asked about the challenge of playing in Australian conditions in the World Cup next month.

“We have not sat down to discuss the bowling performance genuinely but as you saw in the last game, the match went to the last over and there was a lot of dew. The Aussies also batted beautifully, credit to them. We are trying our best,” he added.

    Asia Cup and more…

India’s batters did well in the Asia Cup and in the first T20I against Australia. Still, their bowling attack was not as good. In the last few overs, the Indian bowlers gave up too many runs without Jasprit Bumrah. So, the blue team couldn’t defend 208 in the first game of the series because the bowlers did no magic.

But Yadav stood up for the bowlers and said that everyone on the team did their best.

“Actually after the last game, we didn’t have any discussion but as you have seen last day the match went on long and there was also dew, and you also have to give credit to them, they kept attacking, we are trying our best,” he said.

    Patel’s performance

Before the first T20I, there was a lot of talk about putting Harshal Patel on the team. But when he came back, he didn’t do very well. He gave up 49 runs without getting a wicket, which included a 22-run 18th over.

When Yadav was asked if Patel’s different ways of bowling were becoming predictable and not unique, he said, “He is very deceptive. I don’t bat in net sessions much, but as much as I have played him and also Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar) bhai is also difficult to decipher…”“But Harshal’s slower balls and his different variations are really deceptive and he has just come from an injury, so this much benefit of doubt should be allowed,” said Yadav.
