On Sunday India vs Pakistan match of the T20I World cup is likely to be disrupted by rain. According to Weather Forecast, there is an 80% chance of rain in the evening on October 23.

The biggest rivalry of all time in cricket battling remains the most anticipated contest in the sport. The fans are eagerly awaiting India vs Pakistan match and the clash between the two sides has been building since the schedule of the T20I World Cup 2022 was announced.

Unfortunately ahead before the clash, a piece of worrying news has been emerging by the weather forecast of Melbourne, with a rain threat looming large on Sunday. India and Pakistan are scheduled to begin their T20 world cup campaign at the MCG on Sunday but the match is under the difficult condition of a washout because of the demoralising weather forecast.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology of the Australian Government, there are high chances of rain on Sunday 23 October. This stuffs make the situation incredibly tricky for the ground staff to prepare the conditions for Sunday’s match. It was also noted that there is no chance of postponing the Indo-Pak match on Sunday. The ICC has mentioned the option of a reserve day for the semi-finals and finals.

This would mean fans have to satisfy with a wash-out game and both teams have to share points. A mixed result may not affect the two teams much in the points table and their journey to the semifinals. However, a washout match would lead to a huge financial loss for the ICC department and the organizers. It would take potshots at the organizers for hosting the event when it is raining. The passion and zeal of Indian and Pakistani fans can affect their success.

Team blues would have to be very calculative in its approach to Pakistan. There are high chances of rain washing out gameplay. In that scenarios, the run rate and rain laws will come into play. However, fans would hope for clear weather and for the rain to stay away throughout the tournament and give them the best memories.
