India’s U-19 squad has been nothing short of extraordinary, but the senior team hasn’t won an ICC title since the Champions title in 2013. Five players from outside India that you should keep an eye on for the Under-19 World Cup in 2024.

They have emerged victorious from the past three U-19 World Cups and have established a record five titles, making them the team that has been most consistent in the competition’s history.

Even though several young Indian athletes are anticipated to leave their mark on the sport, a few players from other countries have also drawn attention with their plays.

Ashiqur Rahaman Shibli: The youthful batsman from Bangladesh made a grand entrance at the ACC U19 Asia Cup by finishing far and away as the top run scorer. In the tournament, which Bangladesh ultimately won, he amassed 378 runs, two fifties, and an equal number of hundreds. He scored an amazing 129 against the UAE in the final, and he looked comfortable against both speed and swing.

Sam Konstas: Over the last few years, New South Wales has produced several bright new talents, including Sam Konstas. Kerry O’Keeffe, a former spinner and current pundit, is one of the many fans he has amassed in his brief professional career.

Luk Benkenstein – Should Adil Rashid decide to retire from the white ball game, Luk Benkenstein could be England’s best option going forward. Benkenstein is quite accurate. He might be one of the players to keep an eye out for in the U-19 World Cup. Even if he might not be a great ball-changer. In the national youth competition in South Africa, he scored four fifty-plus runs. He is also a good lower middle-order hitter.

Kwena Maphaka: The sensational left-fast bowler has already established himself on the South African local scene. He is poised to compete in his second U-19 World Cup. Additionally, he signed a contract to play with the SA20 league’s Paarl Royals. He has a constant top speed of 140 mph and is swift and fierce.

Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar: Afghanistan is renowned for turning forth excellent spinners. And Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar is just one of several young spinners vying for recognition on the elite circuit. To those who know him, he is similar to Mujeeb Ur Rahman in terms of abilities.
