There were some entertaining matches and segments set for WWE NXT Roadblock. Shawn Michaels was invited by Grayson Waller to appear on The Grayson Waller Effect and face the loudmouth. On the show, Dijak fought Tony D’Angelo in a Jailhouse Street Fight. The former had the chance to demonstrate that he was capable of rising to the top of the roster as soon as possible.
On the show, Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin were scheduled to compete in a feud. Gallus and Pretty Deadly also had a fight in the ring to advance their rivalry. In one of the best matches of the night, Roxanne Perez faced Meiko Satomura in the main event. The show contributed to the buildup to the upcoming NXT: Show Stand & Deliver.
#5 Tony D’Angelo defeated Dijak with the assistance of Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo’s self-sacrifice.
With a Jailhouse Street Fight, Tony D’Angelo and Dijak kicked off WWE NXT Roadblock. The first one got the baton first and used it against his opponent.
Before returning to the ring, they fought around the jail cell, where Dijak hit his opponent with a chokeslam on a steel chair. Tony reciprocated by slamming the former main roster star into some chairs.
Before Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo got involved, Dijak took control of the situation and put The Don through the ringer. He shielded his leader, enabling The Don to fight back and grab a crowbar.
Before D’Angelo hit Stacks with the crowbar and sent him into the cell, Stacks ate Feast Your Eyes. The match was entertaining and demonstrated how much Stacks is willing to risk everything for The D’Angelo Family.
#4. Jinder Mahal and Indus Sher were defeated by Bron Breakker and The Creed Brothers.
For WWE NXT Roadblock, Bron Breakker joined The Creed Brothers to face Jinder Mahal and Indus Sher. Before the start of the game, both teams engaged in fierce competition.
Breakker and the brothers did a good job of working together to put pressure on Indus Sher before Mahal’s team made a comeback. Before the NXT Champion returned, Brutus hit the Olympic Slam and the Brutus Bomb.
Before The Creed Brothers entered and hit Veer with their finisher for victory, he destroyed Sanga. Brutus and Julius were able to rejoin the game thanks to a competitive match. They needed to defeat Indus Sher to overcome their previous defeats.
Bron Breakker and the duo worked well together, and he later criticized Carmello Hayes. The two men were scheduled to wrestle at Stand & Deliver for the NXT Championship.
#3. On WWE NXT, Shawn Michaels brought Johnny Gargano back to silence Grayson Waller.
On WWE NXT Roadblock, Grayson Waller appeared and invited Shawn Michaels to the Grayson Waller Effect. The heel was confronted by the legend and asked why he detested him. Waller claimed that HBK was holding him back and that he was the brand’s best talent.
The Australian Superstar offered justifications for his numerous defeats in significant matches, but Shawn stated that Waller merely desired to place blame on someone else for his shortcomings. Before things got out of hand, Waller stopped taking shots at HBK because of his connection to the brand and the legend.
At NXT Stand & Deliver, Shawn Michaels said he would love to defeat Waller, but someone wanted to face the heel instead. As the segment came to an end, Johnny Gargano made his way out and rushed into the ring.
#2. With a victory, Gigi Dolin exacted revenge on Jacy Jayne.
At WWE NXT Roadblock, as soon as their match got going, Gigi Dolin hit Jacy Jayne hard. Dolin dragged Jayne back into the ring after she attempted to escape through the crowd.
Jayne tried to use a steel chair when she got back into the game, but Dolin changed the outcome instead. She held her ground for a while and landed a few kicks before receiving a senton that nearly caused her to fall.
Gigi avoided a neck break by coming back with a roundhouse kick. Before landing the Cobra Twist Slam, she kicked out of another senton.
After the match, Dolin was attacked from behind by Jacy Jayne. Before authorities arrived to prevent her from causing additional harm, she encircled herself with a steel chair.
Even though the match wasn’t very good, it told the story well. The two ladies need to demonstrate that they are better compared to the next and will go to any degree to end each other’s professions. The conclusion suggests that they will face off again at Stand & Deliver.
#1. On WWE NXT, Roxanne Perez made the most memorable defense of her title.
At Roadblock, Roxanne Perez defeated Meiko Satomura to defend her NXT Women’s Championship. The legendary performer pressed Perez early on and got the first takedown.
Before Perez broke out and hit a few big strikes, Satomura locked in a knee bar and punished her opponent. The champion had trouble maintaining her lead, but she kept hitting big moves whenever she could.
Perez appeared to have missed a rope-assisted powerbomb. Meiko got a jump from the top, yet Perez countered it and got her knees up in time.
Satomura tried the axe kick, but the champion rolled up her opponent and won the match. To show her gratitude, Meiko presented Perez with the NXT Women’s Title following the match. However, Roxy collapsed in the ring and needed to be carried away on a stretcher by medical personnel.
The match was excellent and demonstrated Perez’s superiority. Meiko might have been the better wrestler in the end, but the champion had the foresight to roll her up for the victory. She will likely be excluded from the competition, and WWE will likely create challenges for her.
