He said ” No doubt Rishabh pant has done very well in Test cricket and one day. He has been very good but as far as the shortest format is concerned, he has not been an accomplished player. However, if you look at Dinesh Karthik his graph is going upward. He has been performing well. This is the right decision made by Rohit. In this format, in this form, there is no use in keeping him on the bench. It’s time for Dinesh Kartik to play and he should be in the game” told Aaj Tak.
He added ” Rishabh is young, he still has plenty of time. Dinesh Kartik on the other hand only has one or two years left. He should make the most out of it, you should also use Karthik’s form and make the most out of it. He can win a lot of matches and bat down the order. With Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik batting down the order, I think it is going to be difficult for opposition bowlers.
