From Gautam Gambhir to Kannaur Lokesh Rahul: Cricket fraternity steps forward to pay tribute to Suresh Raina after retirement decision: One of the greatest Indian cricket players Suresh Raina announced his retirement decision on 4th September 2022. Raina will stop playing for Uttar Pradesh in Domestic Cricket. He remained unsold in the IPL auction 2022. As a result, he will not play in the Indian Premier League 2023.

Suresh Raina took to Instagram and posted his retirement decision surprising everyone in the cricket fraternity.
“It has been an absolute honor to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket. I would like to thank @BCCI, @UPCACricket, @ChennaiIPL, @ShuklaRajiv sir & all my fans for their support and unwavering faith in my abilities,” posted Raina.
Tribute of the Indian Cricketers to Suresh Raina
The Indian Cricket players took the opportunity to extend their good wishes to Raina post his retirement decision. They recalled the days when they played with Suresh Raina. Kannaur Lokesh Rahul was the first Indian cricketer to react to Suresh Raina’s Instagram post about his retirement.
He replied to Raina’s post saying, “Thank you for all the wonderful memories on and off the field. Wishing you the best for your future endeavors.”
Irfan Pathan took to social media recalling the days with Suresh Raina in under-19 days. He said that Suresh Raina’s batting charm was special.
“My first memory of @ImRaina was when we played for u-19 India. That batting charm was so special to start with. Wishing you a great life ahead brother. I’m sure we will see you play some more cricket,”.
Ex-Indian cricket player, Gautam Gambhir welcomed Raina to the second innings of life. Gambhir welcomed Raina to the retirement club saying, “An all-rounder for all seasons! Welcome to the next season of life!”
Previously, Suresh Raina announced his retirement from international cricket in 2022 on the 15th of August same as Mahendra Singh Dhoni. This retirement is not the end of Raina’s career. It has opened doors for new opportunities. Raina will play for the Indian team in the Road Safety series. Raina will be available for Overseas Premier Leagues. These Premier Leagues include the UAE, South Africa, and the Big Bash League of Australia.
