The Schumacher family have backed their new protégé after seven-time world champion Michael’s son Mick Schumacher was confirmed to have been kicked by Haas.
Michael’s brother and former driver Ralf Schumacher criticized both the team and general manager Gunther Steiner when he heard he would be replaced next season by 23-year-old veteran Nico Hulkenberg. “Mick showed potential, but whatever he did, Tim and Gunther Steiner were never satisfied.” Ralf, who has won 180 F1 races and six victories, told Sky Sports in Germany. “Not all behavior can be explained by normal standards and should be almost personal. “I don’t think Gunter Steiner can get along with anyone else sitting in the middle of Haas. Schumacher, who received favorable comparisons with Nikita Mazepin in his debut season last year but has struggled with Kevin Magnussen.
