    Haryana Chief Minister interacts with Commonwealth games 

    Haryana Chief Minister interacts with Commonwealth games : India’s Stint in Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 is over. In one of the most successful years of India in the Commonwealth Games wishes are pouring in for players from all across the country. On Monday 15th August Indian contingent was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Independence Day celebration.

    The Haryana Chief Minister interacted with the Commonwealth players in Gurgaon on Tuesday. He distributed awards to the medalist and participated in the Commonwealth games. During his conversation with the player, he urged players to prepare at least 5 to 10 athletes under them.

    Manohar Lal Khattar says Padak Lao Padak Badhao

    In a conversation, he said ” I urge all the medal-winning players from Haryana to at least prepare 5 to 10 players like them. It is only possible when sports will be taken as a career. India’s target will be to be on the top of the medal tally in the Commonwealth games in the coming future. 

    This target can only be achieved if the contribution of players from Haryana is increased. And each medal winner should believe in Padak Lao Padaak badhao for the betterment of sports in the country and state. ” 

    Bring the event the Chief Minister awarded a total cash prize of  Rs 25.80cr to 42 players. A total of 215 players were participating in the Commonwealth games from India out of 61 medals by India  Haryana counted for 17 individual medals. 3 medals were earned in team events by players from Haryana.  

    While boxers Nitu Ghanghas, Amit Panghal,  wrestlers Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Deepak Punia, VInesh Phogat, and Naveen Kumar won the gold medal in Birmingham. Sudhir Kumar won the gold medal in the para powerlifting event.  Boxer Sagar Ahlawat and wrestler Anshu Malik won a silver each.  

    Wrestlers Pooja Gehlot, Deepak Nehra, Pooja Sihag, and Mohit Grewal won a bronze medal each in the games. Eight players were part of the bronze medal-winning Indian women’s hockey team, and one player in the silver-medal-winning Indian women’s cricket team.
