    Highest Paid Footballers 2022

Highest Paid Footballers 2022: With the year’s popularity, cricket players are getting more and more money. Cricket is the most popular sport in terms of earnings, but it only makes $3.25 billion overall.

In 2022, we have the list of the highest paid football players on the planet.

Highest Paid Footballers 2022: With the year's popularity, cricket players are getting more and more money. Cricket is the most popular sport in terms of earnings

    1. KYLIAN MBAPPE

    $62 MILLION/YEAR

A few soccer clubs make this list, the most prestigious club is the Parisian team PSG. Despite it’s success in UEFA Champions league, like all other clubs it’s not enough to keep them winning. Kylian Mbappe is the highest paid footballer in the world with a new contract and has become as popular as LeBron James.

Despite his desire to play for Real Madrid, Mbappe did not join the Spanish giants. Instead, he committed his future to Paris in a deal that gives him control over coaching appointments and player recruitment.

It will be a relief to see the shut out in Champo next season.

    2. LIONEL MESSI

    $41 MILLION/YEAR

Lionel Messi is considered by some to still be the GOAT of soccer.

After scoring in his final game for Barcelona, Leo Messi joined the PSG and signed a $41 million-a-year contract. The contract is for two years with an option of extending it to three years. Click here to find football tips and predictions.

    3. NEYMAR JR

    $36.5 MILLION/YEAR:

In 2021, Neymar heard that Paris St. Germain extended his contract by one extra year. He will receive $36 million a year until 2025.

Versatile and excellent, Neymar has constantly been among the top five or top ten players in the world in the last decade—he has won everything in France but would certainly trade domestic titles for UEFA Champions League silverware.

PSG have included a hefty bonus clause into Neymar’s contract, should the team win the elite continental competition.

    4. CRISTIANO RONALDO

    $36 MILLION/YEAR

Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) is the highest-paid player in English Premier League history, while earning an estimated $36 million annually. Ronaldo became part of Manchester United in the summer of 2021 after his contract with Real Madrid expired.

His transfer back to Man United involved an arguable financial upgrade given his old club Real Madrid wasn’t the richest anymore, and any doubts he might have had about his salary were quickly eliminated by a new deal with them. Despite not being on a positive trajectory, Ronaldo’s business is still in good shape and should stay so, at least in the near future.

He is the fourth highest-paid player in the world even at age 37. He just signed a two-year contract with an option for an additional year. Much like Lionel Messi, Ronaldo just signed a new deal with Barcelona with an option for another year.

    5. OSCAR

    $34 MILLION

The eyebrows were raised when Oscar moved to China in 2016 with the peak of his career still to come. Oscar might have lost out on a more high profile career but we imagine the private island he probably owns will ease the balm of missing out on a better award cabinet.

    6. ANDRES INIESTA

    $31 MILLION / YEAR.

It is true that Iniesta himself retired in 2015, leaving Barcelona to manage Japan’s Vissel Kobe. The player was already 37 years old when he landed the job, which means football fans didn’t know whether they would be seeing more of the skillful midfielder. However, since landing in Japan and winning a few titles first, it seems that Iniesta has found his swag again. In 2018, Iniesta won what would have been the Emperor’s Cup and Super Cup; this has given hope that he might stick around for another 10 years or so!

    7. EDEN HAZARD

    $26 MILLION / YEAR.

Eden Hazard is one of the most expensive, but not the best paid players in football. Hazard has been injured for most of his time at Real Madrid, which has made him less valuable over time.

    8. MOHAMED SALAH

    $26 million/year

Mohamed Salah is the king of Liverpool and has agreed a new three-year contract with the Club which makes him highest paid professional player in the history of Liverpool. In his time, he has scored 156 goals in 254 games for the Redmen. Sadio Mane’s departure will make Salah more important than ever this season because now he’s by himself. We predict that he’ll cope.

    9. Kevin De Bruyne

    $24 million a year.

At the moment, there is no one better in the world than De Bruyne. This player reflected his talent by drawing astronomical sums of money in the negotiations. In fact, he penned a new contract this summer to give Manchester City his loyalty they deserved until 2025. The Belgian has put pen to paper for their sum total of $24 million a year.

    10. ERLING HAALAND

    $24 MILLION/YEAR

Manchester City has spent $24 million to bring in Erling Haaland, who is looking to prove his worth on a second attempt with the club. Haaland Jr. once wore a Manchester City uniform and was pictured making a funny face when he was just six-years-old, leading him to become one of the most popular faces of Norweigan football’s greatest era.

If the great Sergio Aguero is able to score goals at a similar pace as he did in Bundesliga, City could lead for another decade.
