The opening match of the eighth ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, between hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka, will take place on February 10, 2023. The tournament matches will be played in Cape Town, Paarl, and Gqeberha, with the knockout rounds taking place there.
The final will take place on February 26, 2023, with February 27 set aside as a backup day in case there are significant play-related delays on the scheduled day. In Group 1 of the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023, five-time champions and reigning champions Australia are paired with Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand and the host nation South Africa.
Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh make up Group 1.
Group 2: Ireland, West Indies, Pakistan, England, and India
Each club will play the other four teams in their group once during the group games, which begin on February 14 and last through February 21. At the conclusion of the group stage, the top two teams from each group compete in the semi-finals.
