A VAR check determined that there was no chance of a penalty because the contact was outside the box.

    Kane took one more endeavor at the objective, yet was denied indeed. In terms of shots on target and ball possession, England began to dominate the game, but an equalizer was required. Griezmann received a yellow card in the 42nd minute for tripping Kyle Walker. The score stood at 1-0 in France at the end of the first half. After play resumed in the 49th minute.

    Mbappe was fouled, and France had a chance to double their lead with a free kick, but Kane saved Griezmann’s attempt. After a trip from Tchouameni in the 52nd minute, Saka was fouled. Britain was given a punishment. In the 54th minute, Harry Kane scored an equalizer to keep his team in the game. He equaled Wayne Rooney as England’s leading run-scorer when he scored his 53rd goal.

    After Mbappe beat Walker in the 57th minute, Ousmane Dembele received the ball but was unable to connect with it. The possibility of France taking the lead almost put England in danger, but nothing much happened. France regained the lead in the 78th minute when Giroud beat Harry Maguire and powered a header past Pickford to make the score 2-1 in his favor.

    France won by a score of 2-1 at the end of extra time to advance to the semifinals. England suffered yet more losses. England had 58% of the ball possession, while France had 42%. England had the majority of the possession. Additionally, England had eight more shots on target than France, with five.
