India can train three bowlers to replace Mitchell Starc

Australia’s speedster Mitchell Starc wreaked havoc in the second one-day international against India. In his ninth ODI, he picked up a five-wicket haul to dismantle India for a paltry 117 runs, paving the way for Australia’s convincing victory by 10 wickets.

A strong spell from Starc made it mostly possible for the visitors to win to keep the series alive.
The left-arm speedster bowled a few looseners in his next two overs after taking Gill’s wicket in his first over.

The subsequent events, on the other hand, proved to be the difference between the two teams.
He used a dipper to snare Suryakumar Yadav and a similar delivery to snare KL Rahul in the first ODI.
Starc is a deadly weapon for the Australians in any game format due to his speed and ability to tail the ball in late.

India has not really been able to find a Mitchell Starc-like player since Zaheer Khan retired, despite the fact that Starc has consistently posed a challenge to opposing batters with his swinging deliveries.
Having said that, here are three bowlers that India could train to replace Mitchell Starc:

    #1 Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh is the first name that comes to mind as someone who has grabbed the spotlight in recent times. He has displayed some of Starc’s characteristics, particularly with his incoming deliveries, and he was India’s highest wicket-taker at the T20 World Cup the year before.

He stopped people in their tracks in India’s initial game against Pakistan, valuing like openers, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. He probably won’t work at Starc’s speed however has the talent of raising a ruckus around town channels on a predictable premise.

In addition, he has a variety of slower deliveries as well as a potent yorkie. However, in order for the 24-year-old to replicate Starc’s success in international cricket, Arshdeep must be properly nurtured and the BCCI must oversee his workload management.

    #2 Mohsin Khan

The Lucknow Super Giants’ left-arm pacer stole the show in the 2022 IPL by taking 14 wickets in just nine games. He was difficult to beat, especially on the powerplay because he could swing the puck both ways.

Additionally, Mohsin misled a number of elite batters with a variety of slower deliveries.
He played for the Mumbai Indians in 2020 and 2021, but he was not allowed to play for the competition’s most successful team. After having surgery for a shoulder injury in October 2022, he has been off the radar for a few months.

Mohsin would have been close to receiving his first national call-up if not for the injury. The 24-year-old can be India’s future if he stays injury-free, consistently clocking over 145 kilometers per hour.

    #3 Khaleel Ahmed

Despite playing for the national team for a significant amount of time and possessing all of the characteristics of a left-arm fast bowler, Khaleel Ahmed has not lived up to expectations. After making his debut the year before, Khaleel made his very last appearance on an international stage in the year 2019.

During that year, he made sporadic appearances for India, but he was unable to fully establish himself in the team. Khaleel was acquired by the Delhi Capitals prior to the start of the previous season and played for Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2019 to 2021. With the ball, he had a fantastic season, taking 16 wickets in ten games.

Khaleel is a skiddy customer who hits the deck hard and can get a steep bounce. He can move the ball both ways, and his performance against Rohit Sharma in one of the previous IPL seasons was evidence of his abilities.
