Team India held on in a rain-affected third Twenty20 International against New Zealand on Tuesday, November 22, to tie the series and win 1-0.
Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh each took four wickets for India when they were asked to bowl, reducing New Zealand’s total from 146/3 to 160 all-out. The Kiwis would have made a real match if they had taken four wickets in the first seven overs, but rain intervened after nine overs, putting the Men in Blue on par with the DLS score.

Ishan Kishan:3/10
In Napier, Kishan failed to impress despite hitting a four and a six. At the end of an over, he holed out on the short square leg boundary off a short ball from Adam Milne, putting the Kiwi pacer in a lot of trouble. Before the southpaw can become a regular on the international stage, he needs to do some work.
Rishabh Pant:4/10
Pant performed admirably while wearing gloves. However, just like his opening partner, he escaped badly by hacking a wide bouncer in the air toward the third man. In the near future, the youngster may not have many opportunities in T20I cricket, particularly at the top of the order.
Yadav Suryakumar:4/10
In Suryakumar’s final Twenty20 International of a stellar 2022, he scored 13 runs off 10 balls and caught Ish Sodhi at deep midwicket. The batter cannot always be the hero.
Shreyas Iyer:1/10
Shreyas simply cannot handle balls that are not pitched near him. He walked back for an embarrassing first-ball duck after spooning a back-of-a-length delivery to a wide slip.
Pandya Hardik:8/10
Despite Hardik’s luck at the beginning of his innings, India maintained its lead over the DLS scores thanks to his counterattacking 18-ball 30*. He did a good job of moving his bowling resources around toward the end of New Zealand’s innings.
Deepak Hooda:7/10
Hooda, who started at number one,6, dealing with a run-a-ball 9. Five runs were scored when he bowled one over.
Harshal Patel:6.5/10
Harshal gave a decent performance in his return to the team after spending a few months on the bench. He changed his lines and lengths and scalped the final Kiwi wicket.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar:3/10
Bhuvneshwar was tidy in his first two overs, causing the ball to move around and causing trouble for the Kiwi batters. However, the swing bowler was unsuccessful in his subsequent two matches, scoring 0/35. He made a good catch, but in T20Is, it’s time to move on from him.
Mohammad Siraj:10/10
Siraj was the best bowler in India. He struck out Mark Chapman on the power play and then returned to pick off three more New Zealand players toward the end of the innings. He even affected a brilliant direct hit.
Arshdeep Singh:8/10
Arshdeep, like Siraj, took four wickets and also caught one. The left arm was precise and effective, with the exception of his second over, which went for 19. He did hit a few boundary balls, but overall, it was a good performance.
Yuzvendra Chahal :2/10
Chahal was terrible in the third Twenty20 International, letting in 35 runs in three overs. As he has for a few years, he tossed deliveries with a high pitch just for fun and appeared totally out of place.
