India has come to Bangladesh to play 3 ODI and 2 Test matches. In which 2 ODI matches have been played, Bangladesh won all the matches and they are leading the series 2-0. The third ODI will be played tomorrow, December 10.

India lost to Bangladesh by 5 runs in the second ODI despite captain Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten 51 off 28 balls. Chasing a target of 272 runs, India scored 260 runs for 9 wickets in 49.4 overs.

Two sixes were needed off the last two balls for the win. Rohit hit a six on the 5th ball, but he could not do so on the last ball. With this, Bangladesh has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

This is India’s second consecutive series defeat in the ODI series in Bangladesh. Earlier in 2015, Bangladesh defeated India 2-1 in the ODI series.

Iyer and Axar’s form is a good sign for India

Shreyas Iyer, who came to play at number 3 in place of Virat Kohli, and Akshar Patel, who landed at number four, shared a partnership of 107 runs in 101 balls for the 5th wicket in the 2nd ODI. Both scored half-centuries. First Shreyas completed his half-century off 69 balls.

He scored 82 runs on 102 balls. This inning included 6 fours and 3 sixes. This is Iyer’s 14th ODI fifty. Iyer has scored 6 half-centuries and a century in the last 11 matches of this format. After Shreyas, Akshar completed his third ODI half-century in 50 balls. He got out after scoring 56 runs.

Rohit Sharma ruled out due to an injury

In the second match of the India-Bangladesh ODI series, captain Rohit Sharma suffered a hand injury while fielding. He was immediately taken to the hospital for an X-ray. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) informed about Rohit’s injury on social media.

Actually, the 9th over of the match was Shardul Thakur. On the fourth ball of the over, Bangladesh captain Liton Das went ahead and tried to play the shot. The ball did not hit the bat properly and took an outside edge and went backward.

Standing in the slips, Rohit Sharma tried to catch it, but the speed of the ball was very fast. The ball hit his palm near the thumb. He could not take the catch. After this Rohit started moaning in pain. He was taken out off the ground. Later, seeing the seriousness of the injury, he was taken to the hospital for an X-ray.

Mahdi Hasan is becoming a problem for India

Mehdi Hasan once again became a problem for Team India. He scored a century in the 2nd ODI. Chasing a target of 187 in the last match, Bangladesh lost six wickets for 128.

Mehdi Hasan, who came to play after that, had crossed the sinking ship of his team by playing an unbeaten inning of 38 runs. He forged fruitful partnerships with Afif Hussain, Ibadat Hussain, and Hasan Mahmood.
