    India Win Big On Final Day Of Commonwealth Games: CWG 2022: India’s gold tally reaches 22 after the final day of play in Badminton and TT.     PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won the women’s and men’s singles titles in badminton to give India a good start in the games. Sindhu beat Canada’s Michelle Li of China in the women’s singles final. Lakshya Sen was able to win over Malaysia’s Tze Yong Ng while playing in the men’s singles. The badminton men’s doubles pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy were able to hold off England and Ben Lane/Sean Vendy for gold medals in badminton.

    In table tennis, Sharath Kamal clinched gold by defeating England’s Liam Pitchford in the men’s singles final. G Sathiyan won bronze earlier on the day. The men’s hockey team lost to Australia 7-0 in the final.

    On the final day of the Commonwealth Games, India won four gold medals, one silver and one bronze. They narrowly missed actually topping the medal count with 22 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze. PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen were victorious in the women’s and men’s singles finals to provide an opening win. Sindhu played against Michelle Li of Canada in the women’s singles final while Lakshya Sen bested Malaysia’s Tze Yong Ng in three games of men’s singles.

    As members of the badminton men’s doubles team, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy beat England’s Ben Lane/Sean Vendy to win a third gold medal in the games. Achanta Sharath Kamal clinched an additional gold medal from table tennis when he won the final against England’s Liam Pitchford. G. Sathiyan won a bronze metal in the TT Men’s Singles category earlier on during the competition. However, Australia edged out India with a 0-7 final score for the game at Men’s Hockey finals.
