IPL 2024 auction all teams predicted released and retained players list: As per the official schedule, the mini-auction for the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) is expected to take place in late December. Notably, the BCCI will increase the budget for each franchise to an astonishing $100 crore, which will bring in an exciting development. The final date and venue of the mini-auction will be revealed after the conclusion of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Currently, several cities are competing to host the 2024 IPL auction and the top contenders are Mumbai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Kolkata.

If everything goes according to plan, the Indian Premier League 2024 could possibly start on March 29 and end on May 26. Hence, BCCI will probably host the 2024 IPL auction around 23rd December. It is rumored that this auction program will run for two days in Bengaluru.
Additionally, there will be no cap on how many players a franchise can retain and that would mean a major change before the next mini-auction. Franchises will have the option of keeping as many players as they want, which is different from previous seasons and adds to the excitement and unpredictability of the bidding process. Furthermore, the representative added that the auction would not take place on Christmas Eve as planners wanted to find a time convenient for all parties involved.

As per the expert opinion, some of the below-mentioned players including MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Devon Conway will be retained by their respective franchises. Meanwhile, experienced players like Kane Williamson and Avesh Khan will be released for the auction.
