According to La Pizarra de la Bundes (h/t SPORT), former Real Madrid midfielder Isco is a surprising target for Juventus. Before signing with Real Madrid in the summer of 2013, the Spanish playmaker impressed at Malaga for two seasons and won the “Golden Boy” award in 2012. During his time in Madrid, he won three La Liga trophies and five UEFA Champions League trophies.

However, during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, his influence in the club’s first-team setup began to diminish. Before signing with Los Blancos as a free agent in the summer of 2017, Isco only started 11 games in La Liga in his last two seasons. After signing with Sevilla on a free transfer in August, he was allowed to leave the club as a free agent just four and a half months later.

He has been a free agent ever since. However, Union Berlin and Juventus might be able to help him get back into professional football. In an effort to save their campaign after a significant 15-point deduction for financial offenses in the past, The Old Lady may make a move for the 30-year-old.

Former Real Madrid midfielder Isco is reportedly temped to join wolves and reunite with Julen Lopetegui. After his contract was terminated with Sevilla only this week Isco is now a free agent and will be looking for a new team in the January market! pic.twitter.com/0EjWPEaOxL

After 18 league games, Union Berlin is second in the Bundesliga, just one point behind Bayern Munich. During his peak, Isco was an effective creative outlet for Real Madrid and his nation. However, the decline of the 38-cap Spain international has been evident to all in recent years.

Isco, who has played his entire professional career in his home country, may be interested in a move to Serie A or the Bundesliga.

Isco, a former midfielder for Real Madrid, was allowed to leave Sevilla, as Jorge Sampaoli explained :

Jorge Sampoali, who took over as manager of Sevilla from Julen Lopetegui in October, explained why Isco’s contract was terminated last month. It was anticipated that his initial contract with Sevilla would end in the summer of 2024.

Nevertheless, it was cut short just a few days after the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup ended. After his team beat Juventud Torremolinos 3-0 in the Copa del Rey second round on December 21, Sampaoli told reporters (h/t GOAL) :

Isco is a wonderful young man, and I wish him well. He departs a player with tremendous potential, but he did not live up to the club’s expectations. He was reportedly training alone before the 2022 FIFA World Cup due to an ankle injury, and he reportedly had a bad relationship with Monchi, Sevilla’s director of football.

This season, the La Liga team used the former Real Madrid playmaker, who scored once and had three assists in 19 games across all competitions.
