    James Milner Biography. James Philip Milner MBE was born in England on January 4, 1986. He is a professional footballer for the Premier League team Liverpool. Milner is a versatile player who has played in different places on the field, such as on the wing, in the middle, and at full-back.

    Achievements

    Milner went on to play more than 100 games for Newcastle United, where he won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2006. He then was associated with Aston Villa for over 1 year. Later, in 2008, e signed for Aston Villa for good. Milner then signed with Manchester City after he won the PFA Young Player of the Year award in 2010. He went on to win two Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, one EFL Cup, and one FA Community Shield. Milner joined Liverpool for free in 2015 and got the position of vice-captain of the team. In 2019, he won the UEFA Champions League, his third Premier League championship, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. Milner made a record 46 appearances for England’s under-21 football team. He played in the UEFA European Under-21 Championships in 2007 and 2009. That year, England finished second. He played for his country 61 times and scored once against Moldova. He for the FIFA World Cup teams in 2010 and 2014 and the UEFA European Championship teams in 2012 and 2016.

    As an international player 

    After playing for England at the under-15 and under-17 levels, Milner moved up to the under-20 level and was called up for the 2003 World Youth Championship. But, Leeds United called him back four days before the first game, but he didn’t go. Even so, Milner scored for England’s under-21 team in a qualifying game against Wales for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2007 during the 2004–05 season.

    Milner stayed a regular, and he, Joe Hart, and captain Steven Taylor were the only players to have played in all of the qualifiers for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2009. As a result, he was in the final 23-person U21 team for the 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Sweden. This was in the summer of 2009.

    After that

    Milner scored his first and only international goal in a 5–0 win over Moldova on September 7, 2012, as part of qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Hodgson put Milner in his team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Milner was on the England team for EURO 2016 but didn’t get many chances to play. Milner only played for five minutes on the group stage. Against Russia, he came on as a late sub.

    Retirement and After

    Milner told England’s new manager, Sam Allardyce, on August 5, 2016, that he was stepping down from international commitment. Gareth Southgate, the manager of England, asked James Milner if he would be available for the 2018 World Cup. Milner declined to reconnect to international play.

    At Home

    Milner is married to Amy Fletcher, and they have a son and a daughter. Milner started the James Milner Foundation, which holds an annual ball with a different theme to raise money for many good causes. Milner learned Spanish so that he and his teammates could communicate better.
