The Khelo India Youth Games, an event giving more than a dozen World Champions to the country, has started. The fourth edition of the Games is being hosted by Haryana. It is the second-largest event in the country in terms of the number of players. More than 8,500 players, coaches, and technical support staff are participating in this multi-sport event, which will run till June 13. Its events are being organized at five different centers of the country.
Youth players from all over the country participate in the games. So far Khelo India Youth Games has given champion players like Manu Bhaker, Saurabh Chaudhary, Mehuli Ghosh, Hima Das, Unnati Hooda, Srihari Natraj, Akarshi Kashyap, who have later won medals for the country in world-class competitions like Asiad, Commonwealth.
Khelo India Youth Games 2022: Starting Date
The 4th edition of the Khelo India Youth Games 2022 is going to start on June 5, 2022, in Panchkula Haryana. Apart from the Panchkula Chandigarh, Ambala, Shahbad, and Delhi are the venues of the mega event this year. The tournament will finish on June 13, 2022.
How many players are playing?
More than 8500 players are going to participate in Khelo India Youth Games 2022. Meanwhile, 4,700 players of them are participating in Panchkula only. The rest of the players will compete for medals at other centers set for the tournament.

There are both Olympic and Non-Olympic sports in the competition of the Khelo India Youth Games. We will see a big gathering of players all around the states of India during the mega event.
Olympic Sports: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Cycling, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Shooting, Swimming, Tennis, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Weight Lifting, Wrestling.
Non-Olympic Sports: Gatka, Handball, Kabaddi, Kalaripattu, Kho-Kho, Malkhamb, Thanga and Yoga.
