Due to prime tires, Maini started the race in third place on the grid. Maini maintained his position for several laps despite the fact that Arthur Leclerc was directly behind him and was putting pressure on the softer tires.

Indian driver Kush Maini of Campos Hustling came in third in a storm-delayed race on Saturday at Albert Park after fending off DAMS driver Arthur Leclerc’s serious solid areas.

Maini started the race in third place on the matrix due to superior tires. Regardless of being straightforwardly behind Maini as he dropped on the lighter tires, Arthur Leclerc kept up with his situation for a couple of laps.

Leclerc regained the lead after Maini fought back and dived inside in the final minute to reclaim P3. Leclerc had the option of getting around Maini, despite his attempt at retaliation.

While Maini gave his Equation 2 presentation on the platform, Leclerc maintained his strain during the wellness vehicle restarts.

Super excited to announce I’ll be competing in @Formula2 next year with Campos racing! A massive thank you to all my sponsors, @MumbaiFalcons @JKTyreRacing , Omega Seiki Mobility and of course @CamposRacing for this opportunity! “I have been waiting on the doorstep of getting onto a podium and narrowly missed it at Bahrain,” the 22-year-old stated.

“It was fantastic to earn my first podium as a rookie on a brand-new track. Consistency is of the utmost importance because the series is so long. We have had a respectable start to the season thus far because we have consistently qualified for the eight most important positions.

The top two spots went to Dennis Hauger of MP Motorsport and Jak Crawford of Hitech Heartbeat Eight.

The other Indian competitor, Jehan Daruvala, piloting MP Motorsport, placed 17th, which was a disappointing finish.
