The Daily Mail reported that the two players confronted one another after the Blues came close to scoring their first goal, though it is unclear when exactly the incident occurred. A miscommunication among Alisson and midfielder Fabinho prompted an opportunity, yet Chelsea neglected to change over it.
Henderson was seen speaking with Alisson after the error. His words didn’t appear to go down excessively well with the Liverpool No. 1, who in turn responded. The team then settled in the punishment region before focus back Joel Matip stepped in to stop the showdown.
Stuart Pearce, who was covering the game for talkSPORT, was a former manager of Manchester City. He seemed to think that the incident had something to do with what happened over the weekend. In the league, the Reds lost to City 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium after taking an early lead on April 1.
According to the aforementioned Daily Mail report, Pearce stated:
“It stems from Saturday; you can see the frustration there, and you’re looking at such a poor miss [from Chelsea forward Joao Felix] this time.”
Henderson and Alisson have eminently persevered through differentiating seasons for Liverpool. The previous has over and over been condemned for his powerlessness to stir a striving Reds midfield. In 33 competition matches, he has provided two assists.
