Madhya Pradesh is named the new champion of India’s biggest domestic cricket tournament Ranji Trophy. Madhya Pradesh had clashed with 41- time champion Mumbai under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw In the final match. The venue of the final was Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru. MP won the title for the first time by defeating Mumbai by 6- wickets.

Mumbai vs MP: Final match analysis
On the 5th day of the match, Mumbai’s second innings got all out to a score of 269 runs. Due to this MP got a target of 108 runs to win, which Team MP achieved by losing only four wickets. Mumbai has won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 374 runs in the first innings. In reply, MP built the massive score of 536 runs and took the lead of 162 runs.
Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association announced a reward of 2 crores
On the Ranji Trophy Title for the state, MPCA has announced the reward of Rs 2 crore to the team. The secretary of the association said that the team will be given two crore rupees from the association.
Madhya Pradesh had already put one hand on the title after smashing 536 runs in response to Mumbai’s 1st innings score of 374. According to the rules, if the final is a draw, the team with the 1st innings lead decided the winner. However, Madhya Pradesh finished the game and proved themselves well deserving of the title by winning by 6 wickets on the last day.
