Micah Richards and Thierry Henry predict that Manchester City will win the UEFA Champions League this season. By defeating Napoli in the final, they believe the Cityzens will win their first European title.
Tuesday night marked the start of the Champions League quarterfinals, which saw Manchester City defeat Bayern Munich 3-0 at home. Inter Milan prevailed 2-0 over Benfica in the other match. Richards backed Manchester City, his former team, when asked to predict who would win the Champions League this year. He thinks they will beat Real Madrid in the semifinals and easily defeat Bayern Munich.
He asserts that Inter Milan will defeat Benfica while the Spanish team will defeat Chelsea. However, he believes that after beating AC Milan in the quarterfinals, the San Siro team will lose to Napoli in the semifinals.
Thierry Henry also had a bracket that was similar, but he predicted that Benfica would beat Inter Milan. But he also thinks Manchester City will win the championship if they beat Napoli in the final.
Thierry Henry believes Lionel Messi should get back to Barcelona
Lionel Messi has been urged by Thierry Henry to return to Barcelona this summer. He believes that the whistles were unnecessary because the Argentine is not respected by the PSG fans.
He said on Amazon Prime Video:
“One of the best players on the team, who has 13 goals and 13 assists this season, cannot be scolded. Personally, I’d like to see him end his career in Europe at Barcelona. I have no idea what he will do after that. I didn’t really like how he left Barcelona after everything he had done. For the love of football, he ought to return to Barcelona.”
Added he:
“It is my wish that he completes his career at Barça. I am not suggesting that he should or should not leave PSG. His inclusion in the French league pleases me. “It’s out of a love of the game, in appreciation of what he did for this club. He didn’t speak as well as he should have. Something still irritates me, and I believe it also irritates him.
Lionel Messi is reportedly in talks to return to Barcelona after his contract with PSG expires in the summer.
