Unexpectedly, the top two spots in the final College Football Playoff rankings were taken by the two undefeated teams in college football on Sunday.No.1 Georgia will play No.No. 4 Ohio State will compete in the Peach Bowl,No. 2 Michigan will take onTCU is three in the Fiesta Bowl.
From No. 1, Ohio State moved up one spot.5 to No.4 in the final rankings following USC’s loss to Utah in Friday night’s Pac-12 title game.Ohio State didn’t play on gathering title end of the week however was exceptionally situated to exploit USC’s misfortune by being the only one-misfortune group outside the main four entering the end of the week.
TCU remained No.3 despite losing to Kansas State in the Big 12 title game in overtime.In the final eight minutes of the fourth quarter, the Horned Frogs scored 11 points to force overtime. However, K-State scored the game-winning field goal before the Horned Frogs came up just short of the goal line in overtime.
The committee did the right thing and did not penalize the Horned Frogs much for their loss .
Because K-State was in the top 10 and TCU had already defeated the Wildcats earlier this season.Due to Ohio State’s inclusion in the playoff, USC and Alabama were left out, continuing the playoff committee’s recent run.Since the format was implemented in 2014.

If Jaxon Smith-Njigba is healthy enough to play in the playoffs, this is a team that scores nearly 45 points per game and has great receiving talent.The subject of Ohio State’s public title reasonability could rest with the protection.After a coordinator change in the offseason, it has been much better for much of the season than it was in 2021.
