Kane Williamson, Lockie Ferguson, Devon Conway, and Matt Henry have all returned after missing the first two T20Is against Bangladesh.

New Zealand has named a complete team for the forthcoming five-match T20I series against Pakistan, which begins on January 12 at home.

Henry, 32, had a hamstring injury that forced him to withdraw from the 2023 World Cup in India.

The right-arm seamer will make his Canterbury Kings debut against the Central Stags on Friday in Christchurch. He will join the Kiwi team ahead of the series opener next Friday in Auckland.

Williamson will be absent for the third T20I of the series in Dunedin due to an injury, therefore Josh Clarkson has been called in as a substitute.

Mitchell Santner, a spin-bowling all-rounder, will lead in his absence. Ferguson will join the squad for the remaining three games, with Ben Sears included for the first two.

Kane Williamson, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Josh Clarkson, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Adam Milne, Matt Henry, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Glen Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Ben Sears, Tim Seifert, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee are the New Zealand T20I team.

“He’s still very much in our heads” – Rachin Ravindra’s coach in New Zealand

Rachin Ravindra, New Zealand’s youthful all-rounder, has been left out of the T20I team yet again, but head coach Gary Stead has guaranteed him that he would be included in the squad for the series against Australia.

It’s nice to have Matt, Devon, Lockie, and Kane returning. They’re all good players in their way, and their abilities and experience will help our team.

Rachin is a young player who is valuable to New Zealand Cricket, and we want to ensure his well-being, Stead explained.

He’s still in the running for the T20 World Cup in June and will be considered for the T20 series against Australia in February, he said.

Kane Williamson is set to miss the third T20I against Pakistan

Kane Williamson will not be available for the third T20I, thus Mitchell Santner will take over as captain.

Uncapped Josh Clarkson has been brought in as Kane’s replacement. Josh Clarkson might make his T20I debut in the third match of the forthcoming series.

Rachin Ravindra, who has been with the club since the beginning of August, was not considered. Ferguson, who is rehabilitating from an Achilles ailment, will be available for the remaining three T20Is. Ben Sears was named to the team for the series’ first two games.

Rachin Ravindra Will Be Held Accountable – Gary Stead

According to New Zealand head coach Gary Stead, Rachin Ravindra will be considered for the series against Australia.

Stead was ecstatic to see veteran players Matt Henry, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, and Kane Williamson return.

It’s nice to have Matt, Devon, Lockie, and Kane returning. They’re four outstanding players in their own right, and their abilities and experience will help our team, according to Stead.

Rachin is a young player who is valuable to New Zealand Cricket, and we want to ensure his well-being.

He is the only player or staff member who has been touring nonstop throughout five nations for the past five months, which is just not sustainable.

He’s still in the running for the T20 World Cup in June and will be considered for the T20 series against Australia in February, he said.
