Newest WWE title rule goes into effect during recent show
WWE just made a significant modification to a top title rule, which took effect on Tuesday night. The most recent edition of NXT included the Heritage Cup’s new ‘Catch Clause’ regulation.
WWE has done an excellent job of creating several titles and cups to keep all three brands competitive.
The Heritage Cup is one of NXT’s most significant titles. It is presently held by the No Quarter Catch Crew.
The heel faction consists of Drew Gulak, Charlie Dempsey, Damon Kemp, and Myles Borne. Dempsey just defeated Noam Dar to win the Heritage Cup from The Meta-Four.
On the most recent episode of NXT, Charlie Dempsey and Myles Borne teamed up to face Nathan Frazer and Axiom in the first round of the NXT Tag Team Championship number-one contenders tournament for a championship battle at Stand & Deliver. The No Quarter Catch Crew succumbed against the high fliers.
Meanwhile, Riley Osborne of Chase U had the opportunity to compete for the Heritage Cup on Tuesday night.
He wasn’t expecting to fight Drew Gulak for the No Quarter Catch Crew’s treasured asset.
Osborne had the advantage in the game, but a diversion from Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail allowed Gulak to change the tide and win for his team 2-1.
Gulak has never defended the Heritage Cup under the Catch Clause before.
WWE personality William Regal just attempted to give his kid some advice
Fans had been hoping to see William Regal collaborate with his son, Charlie Dempsey, in NXT for some time.
At NXT Roadblock, fans got a taste of what to anticipate if the father-son pair begins working together.
Regal stopped No Quarter Catch Crew to congratulate his son on winning the Heritage Cup for the heel faction.
He then sought to give his son some advise, telling him to defend the cup with dignity, just as he had protected his previous trophies.
Rather of praising his father, Dempsey said that he will outperform him. The segment’s conclusion was pretty anticlimactic.
It would be intriguing to see whether the creative team can bring the couple together, with Regal controlling his kid.
That would make for some terrific entertainment since Dempsey has a promising future in WWE.
