Player Appraisals: Genuine Madrid 2 – 0 Manchester Joined together- This evening in Houston, Texas, Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat against Real Madrid in a friendly match. Below are our ratings for the players who participated in the game.

Player Appraisals: Genuine Madrid 2 – 0 Manchester Joined together

Andre Onana had a relatively quiet game, making only a couple of good saves, including one from Vini Jr in the first half and another with his feet in the second. He was confident in his passing from the back, which is a positive sign despite the end result. As for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, he played a part in allowing Bellingham to score and was not always accurate with his passing. Although he did push forward, he tended to pass the ball backwards when in possession.

    Player ratings for the game:

Raphael Varane – 7/10: He played well, made no mistakes and was calm under pressure.

Lisandro Martinez – 6/10: He made a crunching tackle on Bellingham late in the first half, which could have resulted in a red card in different circumstances. He struggled at times.

Luke Shaw – 6/10: He had a decent performance, but nothing spectacular.

Casemiro – 5.5/10: He protected the defence well, but made a few wayward passes and wasteful shots. However, he did make an excellent cross-field pass to set up Garnacho early in the first half.

Kobbie Mainoo – 6/10: Unfortunately, he suffered an injury right at the start of the game, which was horrible luck.

Mason Mount – 6.5/10: He showed glimpses of his excellent engine and game-reading abilities. He got forward for one of the best chances of the first half and also made an important tackle when Real were on a counter.

Here is a review of Manchester United’s performance in their recent match:

    • Bruno Fernandes: He seemed to be out of place on the wing and lacked the speed needed for that position. However, he performed much better when moved to the centre in the second half.

Rating: 6. – Alejandro Garnacho: He made a few attempts in the first half, but Carvajal had him under control. However, he performed much better against Vasquez in the second half.

Rating: 7.- Marcus Rashford: He was playing as a lone striker and didn’t have many opportunities to score. Rating: 5.5.

    Substitutes:

    • Christian Eriksen: Unfortunately, he didn’t have a significant impact on the game. He appeared slow, lacked sharpness, and lacked confidence.

Rating: 4.- Victor Lindelof: His performed decently.

Rating: 6.- Brandon Williams: On the whole, was probably the best full-back of the four players on the team that night, and could even be considered the best defender.

Diogo Dalot – He played decently, but nothing stood out as exceptional.

Antony – He was the standout player of the match for United. He brought aggression and energy to the game and had a few good shots.

Scott McTominay – He was very active on the field, making some great plays and avoiding many mistakes.

Jadon Sancho – He performed better than Rashford as the number 9. He was involved in the game and linked up play well.

Donny van de Beek – He has been quietly doing well throughout the tour, improving with each game.

Facu Pellistri – He was lively on the field but struggled to hold his own physically.

He had a good break near the end of the game but unfortunately couldn’t capitalize on it.

A video circulating on social media shows Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo using crutches and wearing a protective boot on his leg following the game against Real Madrid. United lost 0-2 to Carlo Ancelotti’s team in front of a packed crowd at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

Jude Bellingham and Joselu each scored a goal to secure the win for the La Liga giants. Despite the intense competition on the field, many United supporters were likely concerned about Mainoo and the extent of his injury, which occurred early in the match.
