    Premier League football: Manchester United vs Leeds and Chelsea vs Liverpool fixture postponed, four matches to go live on Sky sports

    Premier League football: Manchester United vs Leeds and Chelsea vs Liverpool fixture postponed, four matches to go live on Sky sports. Aston Villa vs Southampton, Brentford vs Arsenal, Tottenham vs Leicester, and Everton vs West Ham matches will go live on Sky Sports this weekend. Manchester United vs Leeds and Chelsea vs Liverpool fixtures are postponed due to policing. Brighton vs Crystal Palace fixture will remain off despite canceling the proposed train strike. 

    Last week, due to Queen’s death, Premier League fixtures were postponed to this week. The Premier League fixtures will resume this week, but a few fixtures will remain to postpone. The police resources are stretching due to the Queen’s death. Therefore, the fixtures will remain this way.

    The football association announced on Monday that football will return this week. However, few limitations will remain as police resources are used for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. 

    Manchester United vs Leeds to take place at Old Trafford at 2 pm on September 18. The Chelsea vs Liverpool clash at 4 pm on September 18. However, These matches are currently postpone. 

    Although, the match between Brighton vs Crystal Palace will remain off. 

    However, The game Brentford vs Arsenal is going to take place at 12 pm. Everton vs West Ham will take place at 2.15 pm. 

    Premier League football released an official statement 

    In light of the events, Premier League released an official statement saying ” Following the extensive consultation with police, clubs, local safety advisors groups, and other concerned authorities, there is no other option, but to postpone the fixture.” 

    “The Premier League would like to thank the UK football policing unit and other forces across the country. As well as broadcasting partners for their support and will continue to liaise with them ahead.” 

    Furthermore, “For the matches going to take place during national mourning, tribute will be paid to the Queen at the league stadiums. New dates for the matches will be announced soon.”

    September 16, Friday 

    • Aston Villa vs Southampton 

    8 pm live on Sky sports 

    • Nottingham Forest vs Fulham 

    8 pm

    September 17, Saturday 

    • Wolves vs Man City 

    12:30 pm

    • Brighton vs Crystal Palace 

    Postpone 

    • New Castle vs Bournemouth

    3 pm

    • Tottenham vs Leicester 

    5:30 pm live on Sky sports 

    September 18, Sunday 

    • Brentford vs Arsenal 

    12 pm live on Sky sports 

    • Manchester United vs Leeds 

    Postpone 

    • Everton vs West Ham 

    2:15 pm live on Sky sports 

    • Chelsea vs Liverpool 

                Postpone
