The Multan Sultans vs. Lahore Qalandars match marked the start of Pakistan Super League 2023. PSL got off to a great start thanks to the one-run victory over the Sultans by the defending champions, the Lahore Qalandars.

This time around, a lot of big names are competing, but some of them won’t be there for the whole tournament because they have commitments in other countries. With so many T20 Leagues available, player salaries also play a significant role in attracting players.

Yesterday saw the Women’s Premier League auction, and many people are comparing WPL and PSL salaries. Since the PSL is now a well-known league, let’s examine the PSL 2023 players’ salaries.

In the Pakistan Super League, players are selected through a draft based on the various categories. There is no auction process. Players in the platinum category earn the most money because it is the bracket with the highest pay. Players in this category can earn up to $170,000, or PKR 3.4 crores or INR 1.2 crores, on top of the $130,000 base salary.

With a salary of $170,000, the highest-paid players are Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Sam Billings, Tymal Mills, Haider Ali, Matthew Wade, Imran Tahir, Fakhar Zaman, Izharulhaq Naveed, Gus Atkinson, Josh Little, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Richard Gleeson, Mohammad Nawaz, and Nase

The platinum category also includes Alex Hales, Wanindu Hasranga, Rashid Khan, David Miller, Rovman Powell, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. However, because they are not available for the entirety of the tournament, they are not compensated in full.

Diamond ($60,000-$85,000), Gold ($40,000-$50,000), and Silver (up to $25,000) are the remaining categories. Players in the Supplementary category are compensated based on the number of matches they participate in.

    Where to watch

Pakistani fans have a few options for this competition in the interim. In Pakistan, these matches will be shown on PTV Sports, A Sports, and TEN Sports, while Daraz, Tapmad, and Tamasha will stream them.

Like all of Pakistan’s international cricket, Pakistan Super League 2023 will be shown in India on Sony Pictures Network. Over the next five weeks, fans can anticipate that a specific channel on Sony Sports Network will be devoted to the PSL; However, the channels’ names have not yet been made available to the public.

For fans in the United States and the United Kingdom, PSL 8 will be broadcast on Sky Sports and Willow TV, respectively. On the other hand, Caribbean residents will need to watch this competition on Flow Sports. Cricket fans in Australia and New Zealand will need to switch to Fox Sports or Sky Sports in order to watch PSL 2023 matches.
