Rinku Singh makes a brilliant start in T20Is. In the fifteen T20I games he has played for India, 26-year-old Rinku Singh has been so impressive that one instantly gets the feeling that he is a member of the major league. However, fifteen matches are not enough to assess any player.
The left-handed hitter made the start against Ireland in Dublin in August 2023. He has amassed 356 runs at an average of 89 and a fantastic strike rate of 176.23, along with two half-centuries. The finisher is undefeated seven times in his eleven batting appearances. In his brief international career, Rinku has distinguished himself by remaining composed under duress.

In his maiden T20I bat against Ireland in Dublin, the southpaw struck 38 off 21. He won Player of the Match. Though it might be argued that the knock came against Ireland, it was still a noteworthy effort for someone batting in an international cricket match for the first time, with two fours and three sixes.
Then, in the Asian Games 2023 quarterfinal in Hangzhou, Rinku scored 37* off 15 against Nepal, smashing two fours and four sixes. Additionally, the 26-year-old contributed with 22* off 14 over Australia in Visakhapatnam before detractors could point out that the results were against lower-tier teams in a major pursuit of 209.
Although 360-degree hitter Suryakumar Yadav stole the show with 80 off 42, Rinku was the man who got the Men in Blue over the finish line, remaining calm even as India continued to lose wickets on the other end. Even seasoned players sometimes lose their composure under pressure, yet he pinpointed boundaries in this scenario.
In the subsequent encounter in Thiruvananthapuram, he scored 31* off just nine deliveries, further demonstrating his ability. Team India had batted first.
In the last over, Rinku hit Sean Abbott for 2 fours and three sixes, evoking memories of his onslaught on Yash Dayal in the 2023 IPL. The left-hander continued his excellent form into the following game. He hit 46 off 29 balls as the Men in Blue chose to bat first once more.
In his T20I career thus far, Rinku has only been dismissed in single digits once. In the fifth T20I against Australia in Bengaluru, he was outscored six times out of eight.
Once again, Rinku showed off his big-hitting range, able to reach the boundaries against both spin and speed with ease. In one over, he gave Andile Phehlukwayo three fours.
