Steve Smith on the playing circumstances in the WTC final: “We could face some sort of similarities to what we had in India.”: Steve Smith, an experienced test player from Australia, believes that India will benefit from favourable Oval conditions in the World Test Championship (WTC) final. The right-hander lamented that the setting is fantastic for playing, though.

Steve Smith on the playing circumstances in the WTC final: "We could face some sort of similarities to what we had in India."

The World Trade Centre summit match between Australia and India will take place at The Oval. As they attempt to win the championship, it will also be the first time these two teams play test cricket in a neutral location. India will also make a second appearance in the WTC.

Steve Smith praises the WTC concept, saying that it gives every game we play a lot of relevance

In his most recent interview, Steve claimed that as the game progresses at the Oval, spin can play a key role. Nevertheless, he anticipates a hostile match and a similarly favourable batting surface. Australia stated.

“The Oval can occasionally present itself with some spin, especially as the game progresses, so at various periods of the game, we might encounter some forts that are similar to what we had in India. The Oval, though, is a fantastic venue for cricket. A excellent spot to bat when you get in, it has some decent pace and bounce for an English surface, and it features a lightning fast outfield with a square that extends the entire length of the ground. ought to be a flawless cracker.

The 33-year-old also has a stellar track record there, scoring 391 runs at 97.75 in three games while also hitting two hundred.

According to Steve Smith, who believes the World Test Championship is a wonderful idea, there will be more Indian supporters at the arena than Australian ones. Added him:

The WTC is a fantastic project. It makes every game we play very important, and it’s thrilling for us to have qualified first and face India in the championship game. At the Oval, it will be just the two of us. There will definitely be a large number of supporters, probably more Indian than Australian, but I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun, and the lads are looking forward to it.
