Michael Kasprowicz, a former pacer, told The Age, “I don’t believe the hype I reckon because for all the attention around the pitches they were typically Indian wickets.” One of the people who helped Australia win its first Test match in India in 29 years was Kasprowicz. Australia must “adapt and adjust” in order to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India’s “typical” wickets.

“I know that this one did a few tricks at first, but maybe the moisture helps them get the ball because they start so early (at 9:30 a.m.). However, it did not behave similarly at other times throughout the day.”

The pitches in India’s victories in the first two Tests in Nagpur and New Delhi were rated “average” by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The Indore pitch was rated “poor” because Australia won by nine wickets.

The majority of experts, including former Australia captains Mark Waugh and Mark Taylor, have expressed disapproval of the pitches, particularly the Indore track.

“When I say don’t believe the hype, I know the odd ball was turning square, and it got a poor rating,” stated Kasprowicz, who was a member of the Australia team that won their only series in India in 2004.

“In any case, I especially remember going to the 1998 Test in Bangalore and picturing myself standing on the wicket. A dry rivulet bed clearly resembles it. The entire surface is covered in spider cracks despite the absence of grass.

What else do we need to know since that is where we will play? You simply succeed.” We must always change. In cricket, that is the Test match.

Australia dominated the Delhi Test for the first two days after losing the first match in Nagpur. They lost the match on day three by six wickets, falling 0-2 behind in the four-Test series.

“Obviously, the Australians performed exceptionally well after the second innings in Delhi as they adjusted to the conditions. According to Kasprowicz, they won the second inning despite being down 1/76.

Travis Head and Marinus (Labuschagne) batted exceptionally well. Australia has a long history of success, similar to theirs. The fourth Test will begin in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
