Milos Raonic is keeping up with the happenings on the professional tennis tour, even though he hasn’t played a tour-level match in more than a year due to injury. The 31-year-old former world No.3 was among the first to express his nation’s gratitude for their historic Davis Cup victory.

Denis Shapovalov took to Twitter to commend Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis.

Shapovalov for leading Canada to its first Davis Cup victory in the competition’s 109-year history over Australia on Sunday.

“Numerous Canadians have accomplished a ton in tennis,” Raonic composed. “By winning the highest award, this demonstrates the strength of Canadian tennis on the international team stage.

Raonic, a two-time Grand Slam finalist, was an important part of Canada’s Davis Cup team from 2010 to 2018 and had an 18-6 record in singles and doubles. He helped position Canada for this moment.

Due to a back injury, he was forced to withdraw from the 2019 Davis Cup Finals, the year Canada reached its first Davis Cup final.

When the offseason began, Novak Djokovic was once again thinking about tennis.

Djokovic, along with his son Stefan and brother Marko, were among the fans at Sunday’s Davis Cup final between Australia and Canada in Malaga, Spain, just seven days after winning a record-breaking sixth title in his career at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Italy.

Over the course of the past few years, even as recently as last week in Italy, eight-year-old Stefan Djokovic has been a regular at his father’s matches. He, his sister Tara, and his mother Jelena were in the stands throughout Djokovic’s title run.

In Turin, the 21-time Grand Slam singles champion said that he treasures traveling with his family on the tour.

Djokovic stated, “I’m very grateful to my wife and my children for coming.”Since I rarely get to spend time with them on tour, I naturally try to take advantage of it to the fullest.

    STAT OF THE DAY❗

🇨🇦 @felixtennis has become the first Canadian man to record 60 wins in a single season in ATP history. 💥

Auger-Aliassime's 6-3, 6-4 victory over Alex de Minaur today was his 60th win of the year, and it clinched Canada's first-ever Davis Cup title. 🏆

I don’t know how many more tournaments I’ll have this chance to attend.I treasure these times very much.

I hope that as they get older, they will become even more aware of the precious times we share together.

Djokovic drove Serbia to the 2010 Davis Cup title, and assisted his country with arriving at the elimination rounds in 2021.Having first played Davis Cup in 2004, he didn’t contend in the opposition this year

She began her career as a Grand Slam champion. She is now a cover star.Alexandra Eala, the current winner of the US Open girls’ singles, was recently featured on the cover of Vogue magazine in her native Philippines. She talked about everything from making history to what she wants to be when she grows up.

The 17-year-old, who goes by the nickname Alex, was born in Quezon City, the Philippines’ most populous city, but has been training at Rafael Nadal’s Mallorca academy since he was 12 years old.She comes from an athletic family:Rosemarie “Rizza” Maniego-Eala, her mother, won the bonze medal in the 100-meter backstroke at the 1985 Southeast Asian Games. Michael, who goes by “Miko,” is her brother and plays tennis for Pennsylvania State University.

Eala claims that the presence of her father, mother, and brother Mike at her victory in New York provided her with the necessary distraction as she pursued history. She won her first junior Grand Slam singles title without dropping a set, having already won the girls’ doubles title at the 2020 Australian Open and the girls’ singles title at Roland Garros a year later.

She tells Jacs Sampayan of Vogue, “I think it really helped that my brother was there and my family was there.”Before the match, it helped me unwind, have fun, and not really think about what was going on.
