After the second Test in New Delhi, the former captain of the Indian cricket team was extremely critical of the Australian batsmen.

Dilip Vengsarkar, a former captain of the Indian cricket team, was extremely critical of the Australian batsmen following Sunday’s comprehensive loss to the hosts in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy’s second match.

Australia lost eight wickets in the first session of Day 3 for just 80 runs, with the majority of them giving up their wickets while playing the sweep shot.

Since it makes it easier for foreign batsmen to navigate the spinners, the sweep has been the shot of choice for them when playing in India.

However, Vengsarkar is of the opinion that the Australians lacked the necessary skill set and that the margin of error was insufficient.

The Australian batters received harsh criticism from former Indian cricket team captain Dilip Vengsarkar after the tourists were soundly defeated in the second game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Sunday.

Australia lost eight wickets in the first session of Day 3, but only for 80 runs, with the majority of those wickets coming from sweep shots.

On Indian soil, the sweep has been the foreign batsmen’s go-to shot since it helps them avoid the spinners.

Vengsarkar contends that the Aussies lacked the necessary skill set and that the margin of error is too small. However, batting against spinners is a challenge.
